Good point, well made. If we’re to be the 51st state over here, we should be allowed to vote. America remains a divided nation.

I’ve paid taxes in New York for seven years. I’ve paid into a social security fund and an American retirement account. Almost all my friends here are American, not Irish. I think of this city as my home–until I realize it’s not, and that I’m not going to get a green card now, either.
