My version of Microsoft Word autocorrects “friends” as “Friendster”.
How depressing.

In Word 2003 select
Tools, Options, Spelling, AutoCorrect Options.
Find the entry for “friends” in the list given and delete it. Other versions of Word should have this in a similar location. Hope this helps.
